Uppföljning Let Toys be Toys

Titta vilket mail jag nyss fick från Change.org, som organiserar uppropet för genusneutrala leksaker:

Following our meeting with The Entertainer toy chain yesterday, we're thrilled to announce they will be dropping the 'girls toys' and 'boys toys' signs as a result of customer feedback.
That's you!
As of this week the new signs are already up in their flagship Amersham store, and they will be rolled out to all stores by Christmas, organising toys under headings like 'Construction', 'Arts and Crafts' and 'Imagine and Play', with pictures of boys and girls.
We're delighted that The Entertainer is responding to consumer opinion in this way, though we hope that the new signs; “Imagine and Play” and “Action and Adventure” which will be pink and blue respectively, won't mean a continuation of gender stereotyping, and that toys will be properly categorised according to theme.

Tesco UK have also announced via Twitter that 'boy' and 'girl' labels will be gone from toys on their website. https://twitter.com/UKTesco/status/344829292951265280
Thank you so much for all your support – every petition signature and social media post has helped us show retailers that customers want change. In 2013 it's time to drop the tired gender stereotypes and let toys be toys.
There's still plenty to do! We'll be following up some of our other recent contacts with toy sellers: see our 'contact retailers' page for more information, and to tweet or email retailers directly.

Ha! Det händer saker! Babysteps (eller museskritt, som det så fint heter på norska), men ändå!
